Getting started
Your first days with Samlink.
How long does it take to get up and running?+
Most restaurants are live within 30–60 minutes. A guided onboarding flow walks you through menu, staff, screens and payments. We can also walk it with you on a 15-minute call.
Do I need any hardware?+
POS runs in the browser on any iPad / Android tablet / desktop. For receipts, a Star or Epson printer on the same network is enough. Adyen card readers are added after your first paying customer.
Where are the test users and scenarios?+
Login credentials and scenarios live in TEST_USERS_GUIDE.md. Use `owner@test.se` / `Admin123!` for the full owner view.

How does the free trial work?+
7 days of full Pro access without a card on file. We remind you on day 5; if you do nothing, the trial closes automatically at no cost.
When does the 0.5% commission apply?+
Only on online orders (QR menu, online ordering, Wolt / Foodora / Uber Eats). Orders rung in at the physical POS are commission-free.
Can I switch plans mid-month?+
Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time from the dashboard. The difference is pro-rated against the current month.

Which payment providers does Samlink support?+
Swish and Stripe (card) today. Klarna was removed from product scope on 2026-04-30. Invoice is used only for the subscription between Samlink and the restaurant.
Can I use my own Stripe account?+
Yes — BYOK (bring your own keys) is the default mode. Paste your own keys at /dashboard/settings/integrations; they are encrypted server-side via pgcrypto.
How do I connect Wolt or Foodora?+
Send us your per-platform webhook_secret and we wire the rest. Order events arrive via HMAC-signed webhooks.
Troubleshooting
When something isn't working.
POS isn't responding — what do I do?+
Reload the tab. If POS still hangs, an offline queue stores the last 500 orders for 14 days — you don't lose data. Call emergency support if it lasts longer than 5 minutes mid-service.
The receipt didn't print — did the customer still get it?+
Yes, a digital receipt has already been sent via Resend to the customer's email. The printer may be offline; check the status dots in the POS header.
How do I refund an order?+
POS → more menu → Retur / Refund → pick order → enter amount and reason. Cash refunds also write a negative cash-movement row so the till count stays correct at end-of-shift.
