Accessibility Statement

Samlink is committed to making our platform usable by everyone, regardless of ability. This statement describes our current status under the EU Accessibility Act (EAA) and WCAG 2.1.

Partially compliant

1. Compliance status

Samlink is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA — see the compliance-status badge at the top of the page. The partially compliant parts and known issues are listed in section 6 below. We are actively working to address them with the goal of full compliance.

2. Standard followed

The platform follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 Level AA and the European harmonised standard EN 301 549 v3.2.1. These are the standards referenced by the EU Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882 — EAA, mandatory from 28 June 2025).

3. Date prepared

This statement was first prepared on 2026-05-02.

4. Date last reviewed

Last review: 2026-05-02. We review this statement at least once a year, and whenever material changes are made to the platform.

5. Evaluation method

We evaluated accessibility through a combination of:

  • Self-assessment against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria
  • Automated review via our internal `audit-and-fix` accesslint skill
  • Manual review per report (`POLISH_REPORT.md` — modal focus traps, form labels, focus rings, colour contrast, RTL support, keyboard navigation)
  • Component testing with jsdom + @testing-library/react to catch regressions in focus management and aria-state

6. Known issues

The following parts are not yet fully accessible — we are actively working on them:

  • Some dashboard surfaces still lack optimised focus rings (being closed in the ongoing polish round)
  • Mobile hamburger menu in the marketing header lacks full keyboard arrow-key support (planned bygg task)
  • SalesChart graph lacks a text alternative — screen-reader users are directed to the table view of the same data
  • Customer-facing surfaces (`/r/[slug]`) are missing the full allergen disclosure required by EU 1169/2011 (planned feature work)
  • Cookie banner is still being polished — focus trap and aria-live messages improve in the next round

7. Feedback and contact

If you find barriers or have improvement suggestions, contact accessibility@samlink.app. We respond within 5 business days. Please describe which page is affected, what you were trying to do, and which assistive technology you use.

8. Enforcement procedure

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Swedish Agency for Digital Government (Myndigheten för digital förvaltning — DIGG), which oversees the Swedish law on accessibility of digital public services and the accessibility requirements arising from the EU Accessibility Act.
